i have nieces with unacountable behavior. one niece ( the mom of the other), had used methadone in the past, and is always after painkillers for a dr. described knee problem. her daughter has got us all worried. surely someone out there will describe to me , what side effects are from misuse.of meds.

My friend who misuses his pain killers has some of the following. Irritable,doesn’t make allot of seance when he talks,grinds his teeth. Never ride in a car he is driving.Always worried. Paranoid,never able to pay bills. Dirty house.and the list goes on and on.The fact that she is always searching for meds is the biggest indication she has a problem

If she is looking for painkillers, and doesn’t have an acute injury, then she is misusing pain killers. There aren’t too many doctors out there that will give narcotics for a chronic injury, so she will be seeing multiple doctors, and using multiple pharmacies. If she has bottle of narcotics from different pharmacies, then that is a pretty good sign of narcotic abuse.
