ok so my mom just had an accidental overdose so i wanted to know if anyone knows a sight or if they know anything about the mix of drugs she has been perscribed and why they would be causing these problems

ok 1 she had gastric bypass 3 years ago and has lost about 200 pounds she still weighs 240 ish the other night she took her norco 5/500 her tylonal 3 with codine her methadone ambien depakote and zoloft….. about the pain meds because of the syrgery and them messing it up she has alot of pain cronic malnutrition and malabsorbtion, and now fibromyalgia… well when she was rushed to the hospital they couldnt figure what was goin on other then the drugs were not leaving her systm… they cant tell her why she was bleeding from the nose or the mouth and they didnt have to stick any tubes in her mouth or down her throat…. well now she flushed all the norco and tylonal 3 down the toilet and last night just took her methadone depakote zoloft and ambien and she was breathing like she was when she over dosed her blood pressure raises really high then dropes really low for no reason she has been runnin a low grade fever all day between 99 and 101…. she doesnt want to go back to the hospital because when she went in they treated her horribly as if she did it on perpose, wich is not the case, and we live in a small town where they would rather perscribe you more pills then figure out whats really going on…..

so does anyone know how to find out what whats goin on with all these pills mixing, or something im really irritated with all the crap the doctors are doing….

You should speak with the pharmacist; they went to school for this and will be able to tell you what drugs your mom should and should not be taking at the same time.

My first suggestion is do not listen to anybody on this site that does not advise you to first seek professional help. Your mother may need a complete med evaluation. You can check contra-indications of medications on line and side effects, but don’t substitute that for treatment. Depakote, zoloft and ambien are heavy duty drugs as is methadone. Sounds like she also needs a proper diagnosis and you need to advocate for her at the ER to have that done. Her bleeding is cause for concern and so is the fluctuating BP. Get professional help asap.
