According to Medscape’s handy drug interaction checker…
#1 Tramadol may reinitiate opiate dependence in patients previously addicted to other opiates and may provoke withdrawal symptoms in patients currently addicted to other opiates
#2 Both tramadol and methadone produce sedation and this combo should be avoided
I would avoid the tramadol if at all possible.
I’ve used this website a lot and also been addicted to opiates (as well as tramadol, which is addictive even if not a “true” opiate). Hope this helps. 🙂
