my grlfriend is 6 months pregnant , she now is iin a methadone treatment facility for hydrocodone abuse, my question is , what is the difference between methadaone and hdrocodone and why would thy be willing to give her 30 milligrams at the clinic im trying hard to support her in doing the right thing but i dont understand how substituting one drug for another is helping. will some one explain how this works

Once she has the baby you need to take it from her. What type of woman acts like that while she is pregnant.?? She is already showing signs that she is a bad mother!

Hard to explain, If you are abusing certain types of drugs then when you start coming off of them then you have withdrawls. If she is pregnant, the withdrawls could be worse on the baby and cause her to go into shock and therefore it could cause permanent damage to her baby. Methadone is used to wing people off of the drugs. She will start getting a smaller and smaller dose as the weeks go by at the clinic.
