I am thinking of takin suboxone. I have heard good and bad things about it. I am currently taking ALOT of percicet, oxcy,vicoden, loratab, zanax, or anything that will keep me from goin through dt’s.
Has anyone tried suboxone? How is it? How does it work? Do you still experience the DT’s?

was on it (4yrs);
initially, awesome! after 1 week, tolerance set in. after 3 months, it blew. feel wired, then drained, rinse, repeat;
withdrawals:
2yrs sublingual lasted 21 days acute, 3months chronic;
6mths sublingual 6-12mg lasted the same as above but was worse in intensity (very DT like)
it depends if you’re one of the lucky ones. there are cases of psychotic symptoms from withdrawal (in medical journals). but there are cases of minor withdrawals lasting 5 days. some people get by without any form of withdrawals. lucky b*st…
It may be the miracle cure you’re looking for. May be. It depends on your goals. Are you looking at total abstinence? It can work very well as a short term detox tool (less than 2-3 weeks). But it depends on how much you were using.
Also, there are a few constraints. it doesn’t work for everyone. if you have the equivalent of a heavy heroin habit, you need methadone. unless you have a doctor who will taper you off slowly using oral morphine or hydromorphone.
if you have a habit that can be maintained by say 120mg of morphine, then it could work. Could. You never know with this mutant drug (imo)

You also need a doctor who will taper the dose according to your needs. Everyone i know responds slightly differently to this mutant eugenized crap. (again, imo). That’s why they make it at different doses in addition to 2 and 8mg tablets. If you can get the 0.2mg or 0.4mg tablets, you can taper off easily when its time to quit. Otherwise, you may have to do it by crushing tablets and eying the dose. Just do it slowly.
ps: regardless of anything that has been said about dosages, don’t underestimate the potency of this thing at low doses. 1.2mg can hold someone with a mild-moderate heroin, or even a heavy vicodin habit.
pps: deal with the Xanax habit later. please.
