I have been on 130 mgs of methadone for ten months now. I am constantly constipated and fall asleep easily. But when I don’t take it I feel very depressed.

maybe its something else that you do when your happy that gives you those symptoms, not the medication itself

You might try asking your doctor about Buprenorphine. Used for many of the same uses as methadone but maybe wouldn’t be as bad with the side effects.
