my question is, did i do any damage to my brain? or am I just worried about nothing?

Getting the occasional whiff of gas is not a problem – it happens while you’re filling your car.
If you breathe it for a long time, such that you get very dizzy, then you’re doing damage.
What you described is normal environmental exposure.
