I have been detoxing cold turkey from 50 mg of methadone for almost 30 days now…. Was on it for almost 3 yrs. I still have many side effects, but the one that concerns me the most is the diarrhea
and weight loss. I cant keep anything but juice down. If I eat, it comes right out. Tried all over the counter stuff and none of it works. There is no threads on it. I am 5’9″ and use to weigh in at 140… I am now 118… and still loosing. When will this stop? Any one know or have any ideas on the subject? A lot of people are having the same problem but no answers out there….do I need to see specialist? Please help!!! Thank You.

Take Immodium its an anti-diarrheal that will work. It dries everything up

Good for YOU! Ok so you are doing the right thing. And at 30 days in you are almost there. Get some powdered ginger at any grocery store. Mix it in hot water like a tea and drink it before you eat. Avoid very sugary food and avoid fatty food. Eat white rice as often as you can. Actually putting a bit of ginger in the cooking water for white rice will make it stay down better. After you can start keeping stuff down, the diarrhea will stop. 30 days is about the time when most of the really bad physical discomfort will start to taper off. Again, I don’t even know you and I am so proud of you getting off that pharma junk.
