i have lost two, well a very dear friend and my cousin, her and i were like sisters growing up. we lost contact for a few years but she called me out of the blue one day, i knew it was her as soon as i heard her voice. she talked about ALOTE of things that were troubling her and told me how much she always looked up to me. i felt sorry for her hearing all the terrible things she had been through. the last thing she said to me was “keep me talking, somethings wrong w/ my heart” then the phone died. i tried calling back for an hour or so and then my dad called and told me she was gone!!! I WAS DEVASTATED!!!!!!! I LOVED THAT GIRL!! shewas a recovered heroine addict but overdosed on morophine patches, where the hell do those things come from anyway? and how did she get her hands on them?

my younger brother (34) died in january from taking methadone for pain and using nyquil before bed for bronchitis. opiods and alchohol kills….there was just enough alcohol in the nyquil to react with the methadone and made him stop breathing in his sleep…very very sad…still can’t seem to believe it really happened…i take oxycontin for my broken back and decided to stop giving him any whenever he asked because he would insist on drinking jack/coke whenever…thinking he was ‘different’ or ‘special’ and that it wouldn’t happen to him….then it happened anyways…cuz a mutual friend wouldn’t stop giving him pills….he cared more about the few bucks he could make off my brother than the potential he could die…i asked him over and over to stop giving in and hooking him up….that i knew what i was talking about….yet….noone listened to me…thus, i am now an only child, here to take care of my terminal mother all alone….he left twin girls and a teenage boy behind along with my girls and a whole city of friends and collegues….what a waste….the dude who gave him the pills of course didn’t come to the funeral or ever returned a call to this family again….so in the end…i lost them both…..he (my bro) was my most bestest friend…i never was trying to be a bogart with my meds…i simply couldn’t be responsible for him and his poor choices of drinking with these pills too….i saw it coming, and backed away from him…he no longer took my advice and got pissed that i wouldn’t ‘share’…..what a shame.
