Has Anybody Used Drugs to Treat There Opiate Dependency?

Question by wish upon a star: has anybody used drugs to treat there opiate dependency?
I am physically dependent on ultram which isn’t an opiate but it acts like one, ive been trying to taper down but im having a lot of problems i.e. severe mood swings and mild withdrawal symptoms which is effecting my ability to be a good parent. Just wondering how using drugs works.

I suspect that’s a bit like chopping of your finger to get rid of a splinter.

Methadone is typically used for opiate withdrawls. However, considering this is Ultram…you would be best helped by seeing your medical doctor. You may have more of a psychological dependence as opposed to a physical one. Either way, your doctor can help you with this. Do it for your child(ren).
