I know someone who has used any type of speed he could get his hands on for the last 10 years.His drug of choice for the last few years has been crystal meth, or ice as it is called. He really wants to just have a normal life now but this addiction has a hold on him that he can’t get loose from. I heard methadone clinics can help with this but I can’t find anything on the net about it.

Yes, methadone has been used successfully to help lean people of crystal meth addictions in the past. However, in many cases it is simply an addiction replacement as the rehab patients now become addicted to methadone.

If its not possible to go to a clinic that can specifically treat crystal meth addictions then yes methadone could potentially be a way to get off it.
However, i’ve heard many many stories of people getting addicted to methadone and saying it was worse than heroin to get off of. So really its hard to tell.
Professional treatment for his specific addiction would be best.
