Any Docs or Pharmacists Know What This Coctail of Meds Would Do?
Question by Ashleigh: Any docs or pharmacists know what this coctail of meds would do?
My fella has mental health problems and has a few different meds but forgets to take them daily or doesnt take them because he doesnt like the sedative kind of side effects. I really want him to take them all everyday properly and have said I will get him a pill box with the week days on and sort them out for him but he doesnt want to be sedated or sleepy…
Theres the meds and daily dose:
Diasipam 30mg
Nitrazipam 20mg
Methadone 35 mg
Oripazol 10 mg
Pre gablin 600mg
What do you think he would be like on a day to day basis? Will he be a zombie or normal?
Pls help as I worry he needs his meds and not taking them is doing his mental health no good. Thanks 🙂

Diazepam and nitrazipam are both benzodiazepines so they will have a sedative effect. Methadone is an opioid and will also have a sedative effect.
Pregabalin is used for neuropathic pain.
Asking if the person is going to be a “zombie” is silly.
Will they be “normal?” No, unless this person is not affected by drugs at all, in which case there would be no point to being on such drugs.

Doctors and pharmacists do NOT come to Yahoo Answers to give out free medical advice. Anyone who claims to be either of those is lying to you.
Go to your local pharmacist and ask about this combination.
Get your bf to go to his doctor who prescribed the meds. The doctor NEEDS to know the problems that are occurring. If your bf would honestly tell the doctor what concerns him the doctor could change some of the meds either in type or dosage and make things better.
Since he’s not taking the meds consistently, they aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing.
