Has anyone gotten addicted to this medication and started taking more and more of it and using it for the wrong reason? or any other narcotic medication
I was addicted to this myself but have gotten off of it. I am just curious how widespread this problem is among people. It almost destryed my life

Methadone is VERY addictive. Two and a half years later my brother-in-law is trying his best to get weaned off of it. Has really wreaked havoc on his relationship with my sis and their family and the cost (no ins.) has been a strain as well. All of this because of back surgery that didn’t help.

My friend has used methadone for the past 5 years. She is terminally ill and suffers from large tumours wrapped around her bowels. This causes extreme pain. It took about 3 years to get the methadone regulated
( i.v.pump form) but today she is comfortable and able to get through the day. Methadone is powerful and addictive meds. When you truly have intense unbearable chronic pain it relieves it and does not cause a high.
