Question by Dear: Methadone addiction (no judgments please)?
I’ve been on Methadone for three years. I began using it for migraines at 19 for migraines. I didn’t have insurance, and this was available to me at no cost, and did wonders fo my toxic migraines. At one point, I topped out at 50 mg/day, but I went right back down to thirty, and have been here at 20 for over year now. I’m quitting for several r
1. I don’t want to live under the power of this drug anymore. It’s like waking up with a hangover every morning. I don’t remember anything from he night before
2. I need to find a good job, as I’m being forced to live out on my own again (this is not drug related.)
3. I’m in school to be a vet, so methadone certainly isn’t going to fly i that situation.
4. I want to live a drug fee life.
I guess my question for all of you is, “what now” ? Do I jump? Taper? If so, how much?

find a methadone clinic in your area. get support and get in a program.
This road will mess you up if you dont get off of it.
