What Treats a Norco Addiction?

Question by ?H@tE oN iiT BiitchE$ ?: what treats a Norco addiction?
My sisters friend was taking some sort of pill that cures the addiction. but she died a few weeks ago from over dosing..is there any way i can get pills that can cure the addiction??
About a year ago when i found out i had a huge ovarian cyst, my doctor prescribed me norco. Ive been taking the norco for about a year now because that’s how long it took for the process of preparing to remove the ovarian cyst (ultra sounds, CT scans & MRI’s). About a month ago i got the cyst removed & i shouldn’t be taking the norco anymore but I’m addicted…what should i do??

Well there is no real “addiction cure pill.” There are some medications that can help addicts. There is Methadone, Suboxone, and Naltrexone. Methadone and Suboxone are both replacement therapy’s. So you take Methadone and there is no withdrawl from the Norco. But both Methadone and Suboxone are narcotics and addictive. Some people take the meds for a short time to help with withdrawal and then go to NA or see a therapist or psychiatrist. Some people take Methadone for years. You said she overdosed so she was probably taking methadone because it is used so often and people can easily OD on it. The third drug I mentioned, Naltrexone, is something that can help block cravings and if you take Naltrexone and a Narcotic you will not get any euphoric effects.
