The most common would have to be painkillers of some sort. The doctor can’t really decide how much pain you are in, and will at first prescribe weaker ones. If you say the pain is still existent, they prescribe stronger ones.

In medicine, pain is whatever the pt says it is not what you perceive it as. So they could could say they have pain and the doc could prescribe norco or something along those lines.
