Any narcotic pain medicine that regulates neurotransmitters and opiates in the brain can cause permanent personality changes. I have at least two friends who are now taking medicine for depression that their doctors feel was induced by rx pain medicine abuse. One of them also became easily agitated and violent (almost like a roid rager)

If you are concerned, you could ask for a pain management appointment with a specialist to get an idea of what your options are. Maybe there are other drugs/different chemicals or treatments that would be beneficial..”Course, you have to live today as well as you can and weigh the risks and benefits of any treatment. Sometimes the risks are worth it.
We all can benefit from other ideas then decide if they are helpful to us or not.
