Question by Caz: Methadone Overdose, Please Help!?
Okay my best friend has taken a methadone overdose of 60mg she has a BMI of 15 (she has anorexia and depression) she’s 19 and a half. She was found quite quickly (within half an hour of taking the overdose), she was having difficulty breathing, I don’t know all the details but shes in hospital now. What are the short and long term effects? what treatment till be given?

Sounds like her lungs began shutting down. She will be put into a coma until her body recovers.. IF it recovers. Long term effects: severe lung damage and possibly brain damage.
