Methadone was a big government boo boo. Heroin addicts can be detoxed in as little as 5 days, but if they go on Methadone, they might have to take it for their whole lives.

You should talk to your doctor or therapist about gradually reducing the amount you take. Don’t try to quit Cold Turkey, you’ll be in bad trouble.

If you’re not taking this through a doctor or clinic, then try to take just a little bit less each day – I mean just knock a chip off the pill, or take a drop out of the cup (it comes in liquid and solid forms).    Read more...
