With methadone you’re just switching one addiction for another. Subuxone is popular but as I understand very expensive. Please consult with a doctor who understands addiction. Heroin withdrawal is uncomfortable but if you undergo a medically supervised detox they will give you medication for the muscle aches and nausea. Good luck.

I have been taking methadone 40 mg a day i have tapered down to 30mg aday but my doctor has given me tramadol i am wondering is it safe to take tramadol instead of the methadone even though it would still be in my system. i know about it putting you in wd’s but i want to know if its a safe mix like would i die one dose?

I was taking 80 mgs of methadone and had gotten tramadol and took 5 of them and I didn’t die. Nothing at all happened actually. My situation was that I was addicted to heroin and that’s why I got methadone…I dont know your situation so I can only base this off my own.
I don’t know why you would rather take tramadol instead of methadone though (either opiate withdrawal or pain management) as it’s much stronger than tramadol. Much.
