Ive already been threw treatment, luckly a friend of mine is ready to start their recovery. They are having a hard time getting into a clinic and they are aginst Methadone. Does anyone know of any doctors in the west virginia. maryland, pa area?

If you want to treat chronic pain get something other than methadone… That drug has withdrawal symptoms that last longer then heroin’s.
My friend took it once and just felt sick from it.

Unlike first guy that answered, methadone is a wonderful treatment for chronic pain if administered by doctors who are highly trained in what they are doing and if you are a chronic pain sufferer that may be on meds. for a long time. Yes, withdrawals will be difficult when you stop taking the medicine, but again, under proper care it is much more widely prescribed now a days than many people know.
