Question by miseryluvscompany: Anyone out there ever been on methadone or anyone taking it right now?
I was wondering what are your feelings about it. Please only serious answers I don’t have time for people who don’t take addiction to narcotics seriously. I am doing this for personal reasons to help a family member.

I am on Methadone, and have been for years for Severe Chronic Pain. However it does no good anymore as I am *use* to it. At first it helped a great deal, now it is like taking a baby Aspirin. I have to see my Doctor tomorrow matter of fact, and she is thinking about taking me off, (slowly) and pitting me on Morphine. Going from bad to worse in my opinion, but I am not a Doctor. It is also used to fight withdrawal symptoms for Heroin Addicts to ease the cravings. Hope this helps.    Read more...
