A responsible vicodin addiction - you mean becoming addicted while on a prescription? a friend of mine was on piles of vicodin for about a year, after breaking his hip. He ate them like candy because he was in extreme pain. After his surgery pain went away, he never felt he had to take it again. he said, if a person is taking vicodin when they don't need it(don't have pain) that will cause an addiction because the person is believing they need to take it when they don't. |

What is a responsible addiction according to you. Vicodin is a pain reliever and like all powerful pain relievers, it is addictive. If you need it, the Doctor will prescribe and you should take it under medical supervision and monitoring. If you abuse it, you will get addicted and such addiction cannot be called responsible. |

No. And what happens is, while you lose your sense of pain you also lose your ability to handle impulses and establish boundaries. anxiety will set in and you will start doing things to the extreme. if you get upset you will take more and then you will get more agitated. this will result in losing friends and loved ones who can't handle your erratic behavior. classic example: taking something the wrong way and getting upset to the point that you text someone 25 times to get your point across. this is the pills talking. you won't see it when you're in it. when you run out o them you will get sick and will have to miss work, school etc, not to mention what a pain in the a)s)s you will be when you are actually at work or school, because your moods will not seem weird to you, since you're doped up on goofballs, but everyone else will think you're a raging b)i_t)c)h. it's a waste of time and brain power, better used for more creative things. don't let the drug companies punk you. that's what they're doing you know. why do you think every dentist and dr. around pushes this stuff like it's candy every time you get a boo boo? anyone who is telling you their addiction is a responsible one is a liar. to themselves mostly. and by the way, pill heads love to lie. they will do right to your face, shamelessly. it's part o the package. |

Yes. Lots of people are addicted to drugs and still manage to do well in work or school. |
