Question: How does dr house handle his vicodin addiction?

The more you take, the longer you take it, the more you can take! You get tolerant after a while, and it takes a lot more of the drug to achieve the same effect. Therefore House taking 16 vicodin would probably be like your vicodin virgin taking 2. The effect achieved would not depend on the dosage, it depends on the tolerance of the individual. And the House from the early series' clearly had a major tolerance!! He tolerated it because his body and brain were used to it.

He went to the psychiatric hospital and detoxed. Now he takes Ibuprofen. Do you not watch the show? Hate to call the show out. But in the world of pain killers Vicodin is not strong at all. I don't care how many you take. You wont hallucinate. I got hooked after having surgery and abused much stronger pills than Vicodin.

He is not on Vicodin anymore. He quit at the season six premiere when he was in the Mayfield Psychiatric Clinic. He takes ibuprofen.

What happened was that his "best friend, " Dr. Wilson was upset with House for his additudes, and he actually cares about him. So he sent House to a detox facility, where he was supposed to be cured. But, it was he who stopped himself from taking the drug. For one, he wanted to get out of the building, and two: he didn't like being a slave to it anymore. So, he cleaned up his act, and took different pills as placebos. I love the show, but whenever he was on vicodin, he would be a lot funnier. HAha

You know what i don't understand?? is that how come house didn't see pretty colors & get all high & everything. foreman & taub ( think thats his name) took 2 each, and were high as kites, & house was popping pills throughout the day. is it cos he was actually in pain? so instead of getting high, they targetted the pain?
