Hi,
What is stronger, 20mg of methadone or a 20mg Kadian capsule? (Kadian is supposed to be some kind of Morphine time release capsule)
If someone is used to taking 100mg of Methadone per day, then will a 20mg Kadian capsule, even crushed up, have any noticable effect on that person that is used to taking 100mg of methadone every day?
Would the 20mg Kadian have a stronger effect than 20 mg of Methadone if I was to crush up the Kadian medicine so it will absorb all at once? Or is methadone so much stronger that not even crushing the Kadian will make it the same as methadone?

I am not this man by the way, this man is a relative of mine who once snorted heroine heavily and used methodone for a long time to kick the habit, this was a long time ago, he is now clean and married and wants to start a family and has been having problems and blames his past use of this drug and the methadone

A family member is going through methadone addiction and has heard of rapid detox. He is very excited about the possibility of a quicker rehab, but I have found information that online that indicates it might not be all it is cracked up to be.

Recently I started seeing a pain specialist. He added Methadone to my prescriptions. I take pain meds, muscle relaxers,nerve meds,sleeping meds, high bp meds,siezure meds.and meds for anxiety/depression. I have many neurological problems such as Degenerative Disc Dis., Degenerative Joint Dis., Spinal Stenosis, Spurs in the cervical,thoracic.lumbar and sacral regions, Severe Encroachment of the lumbar/sacral for. Cauda Equina Syndrome, I also have meniscus tears in both knees ,bursitis in my rt hip, . Along with that Ihave Fibro Myalgia, Migraines, Epilepsy and High Blood Pressure. I dont like the fact that some people automaticly think Methadone is only for dope heads, junkies and the like. PLEASE help me educate the world about other uses for METHADONE !!!! I feel as if my family and friends think of me differently because I am taking Methadone. I take my medications as they are prescribed because without them I would have absolutely NO QUALITY OF LIFE. EDUCATE MY LOVED ONES!!!!!

rapid detox

I think my girlfriend is lying to me. She told me that she has been trying to get off of Seroquil and has to go to the hospital for “detox” 5-7 days. My brother is a psychiatry resident and told me that withdrawal from seroquil does not require detox and a 5-7 day period is used for withdrawal from heroin or opiates. I suspect she is not telling me the truth and said that she was going to be violently ill and I couldn’t visit her. A 5-7 day stop in the hospital where you get violently ill sounds like withdrawal from methadone, not seroquil. What do you think?
