Does anyone know any home remedies or tips for dealing with withdrawal from Suboxone, which is used to withdraw from opiates, methadone,etc.? The symptoms are body aches,insomnia and hot/cold flashes. (Besides tapering off..the person has already tapered down to 1.5mg before stopping).

He said that if heroin addicts really wanted to they could do cold turkey for two weeks and be sorted, the pain isnt that bad. I asked had he ever taken drugs, he replied no. He said he believed that methadone and subutex where useless and doing rattle is best??? also alcoholics could use harm reduction and ” just cut down” It is not that easy I think. what do you think about this?

I would really like to have an intervention program take place. She is on methadone for pain, and is totally disabled, stating migraines. She passes out quite often, and my brother in law thinks she is over dosing. It is one of the symptons. This has been going on for several years. My brother in law is disabled too, and just had a kidney removed due to a spot of cancer on it. He could use some help, but my sister is too medicated to help. My niece is witnessing this. She is a junior in high school, and I know she knows what is going on cause she has called and talked to me about it. My sister is eating her script way too fast, and has miserable mood swings when they are out, until she gets taken to the hospital for a shot. They live 350 miles away from me, and I cannot get there to help him, since I just had back surgery to have a disc fusion. Please point me in the right direction. They live in Northern Michigan. Please don’t point me to the M.D., he is aware of it.

A friend of mine just got out of rehab, and I have seen him nodding since then He switched from methadone to suboxone in treatment. My question is, if suboxone is combined with benzos, like ativan or xanax, does it have the same effects of combining methadone with benzos (does it get you “high”)? Where can I find more information (I tried googling this and came up with nothing)?
