I just had an anterior cervical fusion and decompression on c5 and c6?

I have been using 120mg methadone for the pain and 50mg norco when I left the hospital they gave me percoset 5/325 I know there is going to be pain while I recover but nothing is helping at all is it true the methadone is hindering the other meds? Anyone know how and what I should ask for soo I can get some relief and rest? The surgeon said he saw awholle mess of degenerative issues and he told my family I would be on pain meds for the rest of my life. My original injury was a fracture of c5 from an auto wreck in 1992 any suggestions would be great thanks and God bless Kev
