been on meth 30 mgs for 8 yrs. stopped 5 days ago .dr has me using roxicodone 15 mgs to tolorate the w/d’s . tonight I am to stop my last roxi 15 at 10 PM and then go to Dr. at ( am to be put on subs.at that time i will have had no meth in 120 hrs. and no roxi’s for 10 hrs . it has been very tolerable but today is a bit rougher that the past days. My question is if I take a 30 mg roxi will it also be out in the same time a 15 mg roxi would?? does the mgs matter or is it the time without that is important? dont want precipitated w/d’s after coming this far. any advice from someone with experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated. heroin withdrawal

Unfortunately, I’ve tried methadone to get off of heroin, and now I need to get off of this methadone. Awhile back, a friend had taken sub oxen after methadone, and got real sick…they were sicker than before they took anything! How long since the last methadone dose, do you reccommend taking sub oxen where it will be able to help you detox and be off of everything. My fear, is that if I wait too long, then I will be so sick, anyhow. I really know that addicts should go into treatment. But, I honestly believe I didn’t have a bad habit, and with job, and life, I’d like to try to do it on my own first. Any input or suggestions?

Please help with any advice on alternative homeopathic remedies such as ginseng, valarian etc, anything that could help someone who is gradually detoxing from serious drug addictions. I have been reunited with a family member who lives abroad and discovered he has been addicted for 30 years to heroin, and is now on 150ml methadone per day, 20 tablets of diazepam (5mg) and nitrazepam (5mg) 20 tabs per day, plus other pills for sleeping and stomach problems. He now really wants to get clean but can’t do cold turkey as he could die thorugh this option aparently? He also has hepatitus b and c and has a poor liver now.
Please help, advice is much appreciated! He lives in Scandinavia and there are no centres locally.
