what can be prescibed for a person that is detoxing from heroin? besides methadone can be perscription or over

Do NOT get him hooked on anything else trying to get him OFF herion.The ER CANNOT refuse him and can put him on the psyche ward.GET HIM HELP !!!Don’t be afraid of whta people say or think.EVERYONE is addicted to something.Whether its legal or not.EX….cigs, soda, food, etc. Good Luck!Call the er!!!

There is nothing in the world that you can get for him that will help. You have to get him to the hospital emergency room. Even if they can’t keep him long term they can do something for him tonight and they can probably tell you who you need to get in touch with to get him more help.

Heroin detox is a very dangerous thing. He does not need to be putting other drugs into his system unless it has been okayed by a doctor.

Hey im from southern illinois. very bad problem in our state. i was addicted. didnt go to rehab. went to my dr. and he gave my librium and clonidine. It helped with all those symptoms. I just sleep through the sickness because of the medicine. everytime I would wake up my mom would be there to give me more meds. Thank god I had her support! 24 years old been clean for 2 months. Hope this helps. Stay clean its hard I know….

Do a search for SUBOXONE it can be prescribed right from your family doc. nothing like Methadone have tried that, Suboxone saved my life.
