WOW! I just heard about that 2 this morning!! What a shock bc they said he wasn’t an addict but who really knows? He probably was an addict and they were just keeping it hush hush! Man, that really trips me out cause i just got off Methodone b/c i knew it was just way too strong even though i’m in ALOT of pain, and i was on the lowest dosage…10mg……so i just switched back to my Lortab………they don’t last as long but i feel safer!!! That is why everyone should really BE CAREFUL when they take meds that are that strong and additive……………

Methadone is a strong pain reliever. Even small amts have been known to kill people that have a prescription for it!!

What a tragedy. Each of those medications used separately as prescribed are safe and effective. But the combination of antidepressants and methadone (used for addictions and also a powerful pain medication) was a deadly combo. I believe I read that he had been treated in an ER a few weeks prior to his arriving in the Bahama’s. I’m sure more information will surface in the coming weeks to explain the reason for him having methadone.

Years ago there was a case of a woman named Karen Ann Quinlan (March 29, 1954–June 11, 1985) who took Valium after an evening of drinking and she spiraled into a coma that lasted for 10 years until her death.

People magazine is reporting Anna Nicole Smith’s son died of a lethal combination of drugs which gave him an irregular heart beat.

Cyril Wecht, who was hired by Anna Nicole to look into her son’s Sept. 10 death, says Daniel Smith died from a combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro that led to cardiac dysrhythmia
